The first danish stamp

In Denmark the first stamp was issued in 1852, with a value of four (fire) RBS (Riksbank skilling). The stamp was without perfins and had to be cut out from a sheet of 100 stamps, with very narrow margin between each of them. Hence many of these stamps have narrow margins or margins cutting into the stamp itself. (to be continued)
